Plain perceptions is a workspace of the beginnings of weaving. How the yarn is born, where the fabric begins? What is the minimum needed for weaving? I want to know it, to sense it through. I want to be there, in the birth of textile, where the material starts it’s transformations – to create with what I’ll find from my immediate surroundings, what I find from here, right now.
Besides that Plain perceptions is a text supervised by Eik Hermann, investigating the roots and importance of tactile knowledge from the stand-point and through the eyes of a hand-weaver.
