A garden marks ownership over land. However, it can be just a sheltered place and not necessarily a productive space – a garden is also for pleasure and joy, for hiding and thinking your own thoughts. Gardens seem to try and catch the transience of nature with their borders.
This fading textile piece is a remake of Sennefer’s garden, an ancient fresco from Egypt, and is a reminder of the temporality of all, to enjoy all the seasons and not care about borders, as they will not last for long.
